26-year-old Daniel Kvammen grew up in the small Norwegian town Geilo. With a population of just 2.363 citizens, the town is mostly known for being a popular winter sport destination and to be the halfway-mark on the train ride to Bergen.

But with his debut ‘Fremad i alle retninga’ (‘Forward in any direction’) Kvammen shows that neither age or hometown have to be an obstacle, when the goal is to record a solid album. The single ‘Du forteiner ein som meg’ (‘You deserve someone like me’) quickly made it to the A-list of Norwegian national radio NRK P3.
