Hudna is a cross-cultural trio band, each member coming from a different cultural background: Danish, Turkish and Israeli. In Arabic, Hudna means ceasefire. Just as the name of the band suggests, the goal of their work is to infuse the concepts of globalization, diversity, integration and inclusion with musical significance; and thereby build bridges between cultures and musical traditions.Their musical expression comes from Turkish folk music, American alternative folk as well as blues and rock. They play a number of instruments: guitar, dobro, pedal steel, saz, oud, and arabic percussions.

Hudna is a prime example of the beautiful inspirations that arise when different cultures meet, and contemporary folk music is the result.Hudna has quickly gained recognition on the Danish folk-root and world music scene for their unique sound. Shortly after releasing their first album in 2013, the band received a Danish Music Award (DMA). Their self-titled album came in 2014, followed by another Danish Music Award the same year.
