The alternative rock of The Awesome Welles combines literary inspiration with haunting choruses and bellowing drums on a canvas of darkness. In 2014, they had the honour of closing the “Rising” stage at Roskilde Festival, and their gig was hailed by GAFFA as one of the 10 best gigs at the festival that year alongside Interpol and Damon Albarn, etc. Their 2014 debut was “album of the week” in FluxFM and Die Welt.
