Three songwriters will present brand new songs written at this year’s Aarhus Calling Camp. Among the songwriters is Micky Skeel, who is well-known to many as one half of pop outfit PULS and most recently from various covers on YouTube. On May 6th he is going to release his first solo single, which will get a sneak preview in Magasin.
13:00-13:30 Meet the Talent
Three songwriters will present brand new songs written at this year’s Aarhus Calling Camp. Among the songwriters is the upcoming artist Nicklas Sahl from Aarhus. In the business the expectations for him are simply huge.
14:00-14:40 Kendrick Dean and this year’s Aarhus Calling hit
American Kendrick Dean, who has worked with Usher, Chris Brown, etc., will talk about his work and answer questions from the audience. Hear the song which has been proclaimed the best song written at this year’s Aarhus Calling. The team behind the song will tell the audience about the process of the song. Finally, Melanie Ivy will sing her latest single “Leaving You”, which has been playlisted on nationwide Danish radio channel P4.
15:00-15:40 Open Session – How to write a hit:
See how the biggest international songwriters and producers work. The audience will get front-row seats to the creative process when an international team gives a very concrete demonstration of how a hit is createted.
An international team will open up for the process and show very concretely how a hit is created.
